This year's theme is: The Future Cloud:  Backend-as-a-Service & Mobile Data. We will examine and discuss how mobile is playing an important role in the evolution of the Cloud. We will also be organizing a Free Mobile Cloud Workshop from 1- 5pm. 

CloudCamp will immediately follow the workshop. We will have Lightning Talks and Unpanel Discussions covering the ever changing roles of cloud architects, data center operations, developers, engineers, and even CIOs and CMOs are evolving to reflect the rapidly evolving cloud innovations. As the event unfolds, speakers and attendees are encouraged to shape the discussion to include any cloud-related topics throughout the night.

Presenter Bios:

John Dodge is an award-winning journalist, blogger, editor and web community manager, who has covered technology and business since 1980. He spent 16 years at PC Week (now eWeek) as news editor and editor and several years as editor-in-chief of engineering magazines EDN and Design News. From 1995-99, he was a regular technology and business columnist for the Boston Globe. From 1999-2001, he was regular technology and business columnist for the Wall Street Journal. He has won numerous journalism awards, most recently the 2010 ASBPE Silver Award for his coverage of Bernard Madoff's technology and the 2009 IEEE Distinguished Journalism award for his coverage of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner's development. Sravish Sridhar is the Founder and CEO of Kinvey, the leading Backend as a Service platform for mobile, tablet and web applications. Prior to Kinvey, he helped grow Red Hat's cloud business unit and was part of the founding team at United Devices, a grid computing software company. Sravish is driven by a passion to build teams and technologies that bring value to millions of people.

John Garland is a Senior Consultant at Wintellect and has been developing software professionally since the 90’s. Prior to consulting, he spent much of his career working on high-performance video and statistical analysis tools for premier sports teams, with an emphasis on the NFL, the NBA and NCAA Football & Basketball. John has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida.

Dave Nielsen is co-Founder of CloudCamp and Principal Consultant at Platform D, a leading Cloud Computing Strategy Company, helping companies create meaningful engagement strategies with technology community. Prior to Platform D, he helped grow the PayPal Developer Network to 250,000 members and helped launch the PayPal Web Services. Dave enjoyeds disucssing the future possibilities enabled by Cloud Computing and is known for creating "OSSM: The Four Essential Characteristics of Cloud Computing".
