CloudCamp Scotland, Sep 23, 2009
About CloudCamp:
CloudCamp is an unconference where early adopters of Cloud Computing technologies exchange ideas. With the rapid change occurring in the industry, we need a place where we can meet to share our experiences, challenges and solutions. At CloudCamp, you are encouraged to share your thoughts in several open discussions, as we strive for the advancement of Cloud Computing. End users, IT professionals and vendors are all encouraged to participate.
Following on from the great success of the first CloudCamp Scotland in March 2009 and all the other CloudCamps around the globe, CloudCamp Scotland is coming back to the Concourse at Appleton Tower, 11 Crichton Street, Edinburgh EH8 9LE on Wednesday, 23 September 2009.
Our last event proved very popular with around 160 attendees. Here are some photos from the event:
What is CloudCamp? It’s free and it’s an unconference where early adopters and industry leaders of Cloud Computing technologies exchange ideas. With the rapid change occurring in the industry, we need a place we can meet to share our experiences, challenges and solutions. At CloudCamp, you have the opportunity to share your thoughts in several open discussions, as we strive for the advancement of Cloud Computing. End users, IT professionals and vendors are all encouraged to participate.
The format for CloudCamp Scotland is still being finalised, but like last time it will most likely start with a series of five minute ‘Lightning Talks’ followed by an ‘unpanel’ Q&A then 3 breakout ‘unconference’ discussions. Finally you get the chance to do some serious networking over beer and pizza - all free!
For the community’s unconference session we want you to determine the content. Please tell us what you would like to hear about, what you would like discussed, if you want to give a talk or lead a discussion. Please email your ideas to christine @ guptapartnership.com.
Proposed Agenda - final details to be confirmed
18h15 Registration
18h45 Introduction by our guest MC, Alexis Richardson of RabbitMQ
19h00 Lightning Talks - These will include
‘Geo-balancing in the Cloud’ from Max Robbins of aiCache
‘The Cloud from an ISV viewpoint’ from Mike Goodwin of Sage
20h00 ‘Unpanel’
20h15 Unconference Discussions
21h15 Networking - Beer and Pizza

Unconference discussion tracks and proposed topics
